Direct cremation has become an increasingly more accepted choice of funeral since I first offered this service over 16 years ago, most  crematoriums now offer a reduced cremation cost for an un-attended cremation and some now offer the option to attend the cremation with a choice of music to be played.

 

Almost a contradiction in terms but some crematoriums now offer the oportunity to attend the cremation, there will be no service but upto 15 people can be present with two chosen pieces of music played.  

The crematoriums that currently offer this service are part of the Westerleigh Group, Stirlingshire Crematorium in Banockburn being the nearest, but with more to follow.
